Shower Favors!

I have had the privilege of making shower favors for two wonderful gals at my church! One a baby shower, the other a bridal shower! What a blessing it is to be part of the start of something in their lives!!

For the baby shower, I made some little booties - I used Daffodile Delight cardstock and Pretty In Pink Polkadot Scallop Ribbon, as well as a little bling on the side!!

Inside was a little note thanking everyone - from the baby - and Hershey Kisses and filled strawberry candy!

I love how the photographer captured these darling little favors!!

The second shower was the Bridal Shower for our pastor's daughter!! It was a great opportunity to make favors using Stampin' Up!'s Big Shot die - Blossom Box! It was a lot of fun to work with and I made 100 favors! What made it even more fun was her other two sisters came and helped me!

Looks like a whole box of beautiful cupcakes! lol

These were fun to make! I used the following dies: Blossom Box, Daisy Die, Beautiful Butterflies! I also used the Curly Label punch! Inside the butterfly were the pearls we carry.

COOKIE STAMPIN!

I was very excited when we got the preview of this fabulous new product - Stampin' Up!'s new Sweet Cookie Press cookie stamps!!! I finally got a chance to make them this evening and I had fun!! These are very easy and very fun to use and would definitely make a great gift!! There are so many uses - use them on your cookies - on fondant with cakes - and even the kids can use them on playdough!!

The recipe I used here is an almond shortbread - absolutely delicious!

I TURNED 50 - ugh - yes, ugh!! lol I was not looking forward to it, but it has come and it ain't goin away! lol So, I have decided to make it 50 and fabulous!!! I had a gret birthday party given by my husband and kids! I felt very special! So, of course I had to create a special Thank You card to show my gratitude!

I love the Daisy Big Shot die! It's fun to create flowers with it and it and I felt it would make a beautiful card!!

CARDSTOCK: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight

DSP: In Color DSP pad - using the Daffodil Delight stripe for the background and for one of the layers of the lower.

ACCESSORIES: Whisper White grossgrain ribbon, Designer Buttons Brights, White Baker's Twine

SnowGlobe!!

I just love Christmas!! I love making Christmas Cards and I had lots of fun making this card! I love Snowglobes and I was really excited when my Christmas Card group wanted to do one!!

You can see below that I did the inside of the snowglobe with a more 3D effect by stamping the house and trees and cutting them out and then adhering them overtop the stamped image using Stampin' Dimensionals!

On the inside of the snowglobe I used our new Mica Flakes, available in the Holiday Mini catalog, which is available on September 1st!!! YAY!!!

We made this fun card at my Christmas Card Group today, along with some gift tags!!

Wedding Card for a Friend!

One thing I love about what I do is being able to make cards for others! I was so honored to be asked by a friend to make a card for her for an upcoming wedding! I was so happy to deliver the card below to her!

It was fun creating the Bride & Groom Hearts!! I embossed the Whisper White cardstock for the Bride Heart with Elegant Lines embossing folder for the Big Shot - I also embossed the Whisper White background with the Perfect Polkadots embossing folder - which is actually my Favorite embossing folder!!

Very simple!! I was done in like 15 minutes!! YAY!!! Love quick cards!!

I had the honor of being part of an event at my church - the Hope Tour! So I created a Make N Take with a really awesome set - Hope & Strength!

Nugget Box!!

I have been wanting to make a Nugget Box ever since I first saw the Matchbox Die for the Big Shot!! I finally got that chance! On top of it - I got to use my favorite punch - the Butterfly punch - to embellish it!! Don't you think it makes the most adorable little gift or even a party/shower favor??

For the Nuggets, I used Avery labels and on each I stamped using the For Everything stamp set and then wrapped the label around each nugget!

Lots of favorites on this - I LOVE the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder - so I embossed the Whisper White cardstock before punching the Butterfly!! How fun, huh?!!

Snowman Step!

When I saw this card on Connie Babbert's blog, I KNEW I had to make it! Connie is a fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator who never ceases to inspire others!! Thanks, Connie!!

I love Snowmen and especially love this stamp set from the New 2011 Idea Book & Catalog - Snow Much Fun - and I had never done this technique - so I had to do it immediately! So here ya go!!

Colors used were from the new 2011 In Colors - Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, and a little of Calypso Coral stamped on the background, which I stamped using the snowflakes from the Snow Swirled stamp set using the above colors and the snowman was colored with our watercolor pencils! This card was so amazingly simple!! and I just think it is absolutely adoreable!!! Don'tcha think?!!!

Christmas in August!!!

Christmas Stamping!! yep, it's that time!! I think Christmas is my favorite stampin time!!! I love getting together with friends and family and stamp while listening to Christmas music, watch a Christmas movie and enjoy some Christmas cookies!!

Blast from the Past!

Well, with the Stampin' Up! Convention going on this week, and I am totally wishing I was there, I was inspired to make a card that I made to swap at my first Convention - it is a Scallop Dress Card - a very cute card and perfect for a special birthday - so I made this for a very dear friend of mine from High School for her 50th birthday!!

The dress is made with using Blushing Bride and Whisper White DSP, Big Shot Elegant Lines Textured Impressions Embossing folder, Scallop Circle, 1/4 inch whisper white grossgrain, and pearls. I also used the Eyelet Boarder punch on the Whisper White layer. For the tag I used the Hostess Set Happiest Birthday Wishes and the tag punch!

I am already planning on going to Convention next year - FOR SURE!! So I can't wait til the time gets closer and I design another special Swap Card!!

New Catalog Open House!!

I'll tell ya - there is nothing better than spending a Friday night looking at new stuff in the Stampin' Up! catalog and making wish lists, stampin, enjoying some great snacks, best of all just hanging out with friends!! Tonight was my 2011 New Catalog Open House! It was great to share the new catalog, new colors, new DSP, new punches, etc., etc., with my friends and even stampin a bit!! The new 2011-2012 catalog is so AWESOME!! I am so inspired!

Here some stampers are working on a Birthday Card created with the new colors, Card Stock and DSP, and new Ribbon, and one of the new punches!!

I belong to a couple stamping groups, one being for Stampin' Up! demonstrators, and it is always so awesome to see some of the talent and creativity everyone shares! Today I saw a card made by a fellow stamper, Wendy Hawkinson, and as I love to quilt when I can, I knew I had to make this!! So when my daughter stopped over this evening, we did some stampin!!

Once I figured out all the dimensions, this was real quick to make! I will definitely be making more in different colors and patterns!

This little note card was made by my daughter, Heather, from an inspiration from another talented stamper, Becky Roberts! It is made with the Flower Folds Big Shot die - cut on the fold so it opens up - so cute!

I like that the inspiration is kickin in!! So much more to come - especially with the new catalogue is goin live in a couple weeks! I will have mine on Monday!! Who wants to take a peek??

Who Doesn't Like Cupcakes!!

There is always a set that I just can't get enough of and love using over and over - for right now, that set is the Create A Cupcake with the Create A Cupcake punch!! I had a special friend with a birthday and it gave me the inspiration to create another card with this stamp and punch! Nothing better than making a special card for that special friend or family member!!

This is an Awning Card! I love how it looks like you are looking into a Bakery window! I have done this card a couple other times, using different "confections" in the window!!

I Love a Creative Evening!!

I was determined, after a crazy work week, to definitely have some Stampin Time tonight!! And I Did!! I played a couple of my favorite movies - Drop Dead Fred and Somewhere In Time - and just stamped the evening away!!

Here are a few of my creations:
This first set was made with our Create A Cupcake stamp set and Create A Cupcake punch! I absolutely love this set and punch and had fun making this card!

The next couple sets were made with the Sale-A-Bration set - Punch Bunch! This is made with the Welcome Baby stamp from that set!

And I love simple cards - this is another stamp from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set Punch Bunch!

I Have My Stampin Room Back!!! Oh Happy Day!!

It has been quite a while since I have had my own stampin space - we had our kids staying with us and they finally moved into their own place this week - and I wasted NO time getting my stampin supplies set back up!! I could not wait to finish work today so I could sit at my table and make a card without having to lug the supplies to another area - what a pain it was!

I am getting a lot of support from friends and family and as I thought of that I came up with a card of Thanks!!

So - where have I been, right? Well, life has been a little crazy and I became uncertain as to what I want to do! I looked at other options to keep me busy and all I kept coming back to is my love for Stampin' Up! I Love the product, I Love the fun, I Love the fellowshop! I made a decision that I am going to share my passion with everyone!! After all - it just isn't fun stampin alone!!

So, I am now opening the door to my STAMP SHOPPE!! My calendar is starting to fill, which means I am sharing stamping with many of you - and I could not be more excited! I can't wait to share! PLUS my class schedule will be published soon, including a much requested Monthly Christmas Card Club where we will make 6 Christmas cards each month - you'll have all your Christmas cards done by Thanksgiving!!!

A Quick Hello!

I have been out of the loop a bit - a little bit of life going on and then just when I thought I could finally get out the rubber and ink and paper, I hurt my back.....ugh. I am feeling better and I actually did a little bit of stampin yesterday - I will get the project posted sometime tomorrow!!

Starburst Card!

WOW - what an awesome week it has been! I had the honor of being a Group Leader for 9 and 10 year olds at my church's Vacation Bible School! What a Blessing to be able to share the Love of Christ with these little ones! They were a great bunch of kids! So, of course I had to make them something special to give them the last night and all week I just could not think of anything - then today while running some errands it came to me and this is what I came up with:

On the inside I wrote - "God's love for you is like a Starburst!" I know, I'm corny like that! lol

As you can see, the Starburst slid up into it's own sleeve attached to the card! I don't have the recipe for you right now, but I was thinking I will make another one and do a little tutorial cause this was so much fun and so quick and easy to make - I made 10 in an hour and 15 minutes! I was like on card-making fire! lol

I just had to share tonight - I couldn't wait!

Isn't It Sweet?!!

This morning I woke up and was totally thinking of donuts from a really good donut shop here in Venice and what a treat it was - they have cream-filled glazed donuts and they call the cream - Angel Cream! And it WAS angelic!! lol - I just had to share that because it inspired me to make this card today! I have seen this style card done by other SU Demonstrators - which is is one of the great things about being a SU Demo - and I found the instructions on Dawn Olschefske's blog - She's another Fabulous SU Demonstrator!! Thanks, Dawn!

This is an Awning Card! Doesn't it remind you of looking in an old-fashioned bakery window? Best of all - it was SOOOO easy - I will definitely be showing my Stampin' Funn friends how to make this at an upcoming workshop - and believe me - it was EEZY PEEZY!!!

Just like a cake - here are some of the "Ingredients!"

CARDSTOCK: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
PUNCHES USED: Scallop edge, Word Window
STAMP SET: Birthday Bakery
ACCESSORIES: Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds glitter

The cakes were colored using Stampin Write Markers and highlighted using Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

I really enjoyed making this! And thrilled to share it with you!

Doesn't it just make your mouth water - not for cake, silly - for some STAMPING FUNN!!

More Owls!!

I just love these owls!! After working on another project with my daughter, we had to make at least one thing with the owls - and this is what we came up with!!

We used Soft Suede for the card front and ran it through the Big Shot using one of the plates from Texture Plate #4 set and then we sponged a little blank ink to pop it out and make it look like a tree! We punched out the front with the Scallop Circle. We made the owl with the new Owl Punch, using Soft Suede, Basic Black, Whisper White, and DSP Sunny Garden for the chest part! We then mounted it on one of the Large Scallops Circle punch using Sunny Garden DSP and placed it on the inside of the card so it looked like it was peeking out! For the sentiment we used Teeny Tiny Wishes, then punched out with the Modern label punch and mounted it on an Oval Scallop punch using Sunny Garden DSP! We also used the Very Vanilla 1/8 inche Taffeta Ribbon!!!

It was fun to make!!

First - let me say WELCOME to all my new Followers!! I am so excited to have you following my blog and hop you are having some StampingFunn!!!

Well, I am just totally loving all the different purses and bags that we can make with paper!!! They are such awesome gift holders and sure to bring a smile to whoever receives them, don'tcha think?!!! So, after my daughter got off work today she said - hey - let's stamp - and hey, who am I to say no!! haha!! So we decided to do this tote - which I got the template for from Creations by AR!!

We used some of SU's new DSP - Greenhouse Gala and Sunny Garden! Aren't they just absolutely adorable! They don't take very much time at all and were fun to make!

This tote, I also made matching cards and will be making more of these and using them as PRIZES at my upcoming Open House on August 14th (please note that the date has changed from the 7th to the 14th). So be sure to mark your calendar and come on over - you may be "toting" one of these home!!

This tote with matching cards will also be a September class - keep watching for more details!

You Gotta Love the Little Things!!

One of the fun things about being a Stampin' Up! demo is having access to a HUGE community of stampers who love to share ideas! I recently participated in a swap in which we had to make a 3 x 3 card - these are fun little cards to make and come in handy just when you need them for a gift, for a thank you, or just to make someone smile!!

I could not resist using my favorite new Designer Series Paper and my favorite Big Shot embosslit - the Beautiful Wings die! Who wouldn't love getting this on a package or just as a pick me up on a blue day!!!

I just love the little touches - notice the little butterfly on the inside of the card!! I love it!!

Here are the ingredients for this card:
STAMP SET: Teeny Tiny Wishes
CARD STOCK: Whisper White, Pear Pizazz, Blushing Bride
DSP: Sunny Garden
BIG SHOT DIE: Beautiful Wings Embosslit
RIBBON: Pretty in Pink 1/8" Taffeta ribbon
INK: Pear Pizazz - I used this for the stamped sentiment and to sponge the wings of the butterfly.

Box Corner Popup Card Tutorial!

I have to tell ya - I had a great time yesterday stampin! I needed to make a card for a swap - and this is what I decided to do! I had notes for this card so I decided to make it and then also to do a little tutorial on it!!

It's a BOX CORNER POPUP card! I think that anyone who would receive this card would be sure to smile!

Here are the Ingredients:

CARD STOCK:
Whisper White - two 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" squares - scrap piece for stamping little owl
Poppy Parade - 8" x 8" square
Daffodil Delight - for Large Scallop Circle punch.

DSP: (used here) Sunny Garden
one 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" square
one 4" x 1 1/2" strip
one 1" x 3 1/2" strip

RIBBON: 1/8" Taffetta ribbon in coordinating color

ACCESSORIES:
Punches: Owl punch, Large Scallop Circle, Crop A Dile (to punch holes in the scallops of the Circle Scallop punch), Stampin Dimensionals

STAMP SETS: Three Little Words, Aviary.

1. First we will put together the Owl!! Here you will see I made a few - they are very fun to make and you can use scraps to punch out the pieces of the owl. You can see in this picture the eyes already layered together, the body and the little design piece for the body - adhere all pieces together for your owl.

2. Punch out a Large Scallop Circle using the Daffodil Delight and then punch holes in the scallops using the Crop A Dile! You will then put a Stampin Demensional on the back of the owl to adhere it to the Scallop Circle - and then take one of the little Hearts punched out with the Owl and add that as well!

3. Next, we will prepare the inside pieces using the Whisper White squares: On the first one, you will attach the 1 x 3 1/2 inch strip, then Stamp your choice from the Three Little Words set using Poppy Parade ink, then stamp one of the bird cages from the Aviary set using Daffodil Delight Ink:

Next, you will Stamp the other 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch square as you desire using the Aviary set. Note that one of the little Owl's is stamped and cut out and then it is adhered with a Mini Glue dot to pop it out! I then sponged Daffodil Delight around the edges.

4. Next - you will score the 8 x 8 square of Poppy Parade - you will score it at 4 inches in both directions:

And then in the top right square that was formed after scoring you will score diagonally ONLY in that square (this is what will make the stamped imaging to "pop" up).

You will then cut the bottom 4" score up to the center point - you can see the score and cutting lines below:

5. After snipping, you will then crease at the score lines:

and then fold up the bottom right flap and apply adhesive.

You will then place the flap, which you just placed adhesive on, over onto the bottom left hand flap - it will form a little "box corner" look:

6. Next, Crease along the diagonal score line and then apply adhesive within the top half part of the crease - be sure NOT to go below the crease line with adhesive.

You will now apply your stamped image to this section:

7. Next, you will apply the other stamped 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch square on the inside "floor" of the card and the 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of DSP onto the other "wall" of the inside card - be sure that the strip of DSP on the Whisper White square matches the DSP on the "wall!"

8. Next, close the card and apply the 1 1/2 inch x 4 inch strip of DSP (using the flip side of the DSP than what was used on the inside of the card) on the top of the card, and then apply the Taffeta ribbon - fold ribbon in half and lay half across the front, half across the back, leaving tails for tying.

Next you will stamp your Three Little Words stamp - I used Crumb Cake ink -

and apply the Scallop Circle/Owl using Stampin Dimensionals:

And - TA DA!!!! Your card is complete!! Isn't it just adorable!!

I hope you have enjoyed this little tutorial!! It is the first one I have written - this was an idea I had in my folder, not sure where or when I added this to my ideas folder, but wanted to give a step by step instruction on how to make it!

New Blog Banner! MDS Style!

I absolutely LOVE Stampin' Up's My Digital Studio and have been wanting to design my own blog banner - so thanks to the great tutorial by Patty Bennett - another awesome SU Demonstrator - I was able to create my own!! I love the Cheep Talk stamp set and just had to use it! What makes this even more fun is I can change it whenever I want with the seasons/holidays, etc!!

I'd love to show you how to use MDS to create awesome memory scrapbooks, cards, etc! I'm also in the process now designing the wedding invites for my son's wedding - which I'll share when I have them done!

Needed Inspiration!

Hello! Well, where have I been. I cannot believe it has been so long since I posted. Life/family issues took over, not to mention health-wise has been a battle, and work was crazy, and before I knew it it was vacation time and things got really crazy. I kinda stepped back and tried to decide the direction I wanted to go with my stamping and it is ever so clear! I want, more than anything, to be able to show many others how fun it is to take time to create! And this has inspired me! I hope that I can inspire others!

I received a few items from Stampin' Up!'s Summer Mini Catalog and I was finally inspired on a card and here it is - my Tropical Card:

Lose Track of Time!

Wow - is it really the middle of February already? I totally lose track of time and forget to post to my blog - I'll have to put a post it on my computer to remind me to post on my blog! lol

I'd have to post a bunch of things to catch up, so I'll just post my latest project!

I got to make the invitations for my friend's baby shower! I was so excited! I had a invite planned, but my order was not going to arrive when I needed it, so i had to re-create! Here is the finished product:

For this invitation I used:
CARD STOCK: Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, and Whisper White
STAMP SET: Cute & Cuddly
BIG SHOT: Scallop Circle and Beautiful wings (butterflies)
RIBBON: Pretty in Pink 1/4" grossgrain
PUNCHES: Scallop Square and Ticket corner

I had fun designing this and hope all who receive it enjoy it also!

I am sure I will post again real soon as I have several projects I am wanting to work on and I have a delivery coming on Thursday! YAY!!!!

My How Time Flies! plus - MDS Share!

Geez - time sure did get away from me! Getting ready for the holidays surly consumed my time! I was working on a special project - a gift for my kids for Christmas - and I couldn't share it til they received it! I made them a 2010 "Scrapbook" Calendar using Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio! I made each month with pictures of whomever had a special occasion that month. it turned out so good and I LOVE it! Here's the video of it:

I was also very busy with the holidays with various projects and of course making and sending my Christmas Cards!

Now I am so ready to get some serious stampin and scrapbookin goin! I have a few classes planned and will post those in the next week!

I am very excited about some new products SU has come out with and will share some of these new products as I receive them!

In the mean time - Wishing you a very Blessed and Prosperous New Year!

A Fun Winter Project

The weather outside is frightful in some parts of the US - lots of snow!! Would love to see it for a day or two - but that's it! I love Snowmen!! I do love snow, even though we live in Florida, I do like to go "home" at least once a year to see snow - by the way, "home" is Pittsburgh, PA! So, when a project inspiration comes along that includes Snowmen, I have to try it!

Thanks to another very talented SU demo and fellow blogger, Kerin Sylvester, http://www.kerinstamps.com/stampin_with_kerin/, I made the Snowman Frame project below! Thanks, Kerin, for the fabulous idea!
This was so easy - The frame is from Walmart - I used a 5 x 7 frame. Cardstock used Whisper White and Bashful Blue. The stamp used was Level 2 Hostess Set, More the Merrier, which I colored with SU Colored Pencils and cut out. The glitter on the snow is Dazzlin Diamonds. The ribbon is Red Polka Dot Grossgrain. I absolutely love this!! (The letters SNOW unfortunately are not SU as I do not have the die for a larger alphabet, so I used another cutter tool that I have).

Imagine all the possibilities with Stampin and with Stampin' Up! Lots of exciting things coming in January - I am so excited and can't wait to share! I hope to start doing more stampin and more sharin!

I'll share a few more projects between now and Christmas as I am finally very stampin busy!! YAY!!

Been Busy!

Time just gets away from me sometimes! I have been busy with family and working on a few things for a special baby shower at church for our new youth pastor and his wife who are expecting a little bundle of Boy!! I was trying to think of what to make and decided to make these little boxes from the pattern we used at Convention - very easy!

SUPPLIES:
CARDSTOCK: Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede
RIBBON: Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede polka dot grossgrain, whisper white 1/4 inch grossgrain.

A Special Birthday Card!

This weekend was a very special weekend! Saturday was our Granddaughter, Bailey's FIRST BIRTHDAY!!! What a Blessing our Lil' Lady Bug is and this weekend was a fun one! Saturday was her actual Birth-DAY, but Sunday was the PARTY!! And of course, Mimi (me) had to make her a special card - I had seen this card idea a while ago and it stuck in my mind (I wish I had made a note of who made it so I could give credit. A Quick MDS Post!!

I have been working this evening on a special project using the My Digital Studio! Our granddaughter, Bailey, turns 1 on Saturday and I decided to make a book of her precious first year! I just did the first couple pages, but will be doing a layout page for each month after her initial Birth-day!

An email group I belong to, Stampin Up Late Night Stampers, has weekly challenges. This week's challenge was a No Layer card - which means just what it says - no layers! This was a fun challenge and I am very happy with my card and just had to share!

This was a very simple card which anyone could do - so if you think you can't do this - you can! This card took all of 10 minutes to make! Imagine how your friends and family would treasure a handmade card from you for the holidays!

I will be including this card in an upcoming Holiday Stamp Camp! Keep any eye out for dates!

So, today was World Cardmaking Day and Stampers/Cardmakers all over the world were busy making cards! And it was no exception here! I started the day making a card with a stamp set I had not yet had a chance to use - my BUILD A BEAR stamp set!! I made this to send to my granddaughter, Charlee! She loves getting things in the mail!
Then I prepared for some stampin funn making cards for our troops. Although the plan was for a few of us to get together, it turned out to be my daughter, Heather, and I, and we stamped the evening away!!
Yep we had fun - we worked on 3 card designs and made a bunch of each to send to our Troops to let them know how much we appreciate them and think of them! It was very productive and lots of fun spending some stamping time with my daughter!

Stampin' Up! has gone Digital!

I am so excited about the new product line that Stampin' Up! is introducing!! Stampin' Up! has gone DIGITAL!! That's right - you can now create great projects right on your computer - you can create books, calendars, movies, cards, use your imagination!

I received my copy and I immediately had to create something - here is a scrapbook page I created - it is digital!:
The best part about it - it only took me about a half hour to create - and I'm just learning! It is the neatest software.

A Convention Swap

One of the best things about Convention was the swapping!! They were swapping everywhere and swapping everything from full cards, card fronts, scrapbook pages and 3-D items! It was so much fun to watch and I did participate in it a bit! In the coming weeks I will be sharing some of my favorite swaps I received, as well as I will be displaying some at my upcoming classes and workshops - lots of inspiration!

I want to share the card I used for swapping - I have to say, I absolutely love how this turned out:SUPPLIES:

As you know, they unveiled the Build A Bear line at Convention - and I am absolutely loving those cute little Build a Bears!! We also were given the opportunity to "adopt" our own little Stampin' Up Build A Bear! So - without further adieu, I would like to introduce to you......

OK - I have more pictures to post and more to tell you about my experience!

First - MY DIGITAL STUDIO - this is SU's Digital Scrapbooking Software and it is going to be available sometime in September for purchase!

It is so awesome - you digitally create your scrapbook and then can print it in a book format - how cool is that?!!! It is so simple to use and comes with THOUSANDS of digital papers, embellishments - even digital stamping - so cool!! I cannot wait to get it!!

Another very exciting thing happening with SU is the addition of the Build A Bear line! I am so excited about this! These are just such cute stamps and we also have die cuts for the Big Shot - we got to make one and I'll take a picture of mine later and post it!

SU Demonstrators come up with ideas for everything - including for babies! A new friend I made at Convention, Nicole, made headbands for her little 8-month-old daughter made with the Big Shot Flower Folds die and fabric - how cool is this?!!

That is one thing about Convention - so much fun, so much to do, and you come home with great memories and new friends! It was awesome!!

Now, below, is a card that I just had to take a picture of - it was a creation made for a swap I participated in, but did not get one of her cards and I sure wish I had!!

This is a Tri-Fold Shutter card and she did an extraordinary job on this card - lots of work and lots of extras - i wish I had got her name.

I did take some personal time to see a few things in Salt Lake City - one being the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, which rehearses on Thursdays and the public can watch/listen to them for free, so I took advantage! I had listened to them many times when I was a young growing up and to be there listening to them was amazing. Below is the actual Tabernacle, they were actually rehearsing in the convention hall, so I went there to watch, but I think the tabernacle is beautiful.

So that's my update for today. I am working on pictures I took of swaps and stuff - my camera just did not cooperate and I need to lighten some pictures, etc. I need a new camera! lol

Convention Pictures!

OK - so, now I have had a chance to go through my convention pictures, so thought I'd do a little convention rerun with pictures! I'll do this over a couple days' posting as I have so many to share!

DAY 1: I flew into Salt Lake City via Orlando and Phoenix. It was a very good flight - especially that I got to see the Grand Canyon - very cool:

Upon arriving in SLC - it was so cool that the city acknowledge SU being in town with this sign at the airport:

I got to my hotel - I stayed at the Plaza with my upline/roommate - Loree! It was great to finally meet her. She shared a few things she had done in a few gatherings she had the day before and the day arrived, but other than that there was nothing else going on! I was so excited for Wednesday, up bright and early for Momento Mall and Bag Pickup!!

DAY 2 - Bag Pickup/Momento Mall/2 swaps!

I was so excited for the day - I was up bright and early and ready to go!! After a good breakfast Loree and I headed to the Convention Center and walked right into the line for Momento Mall - a very LONNGGG line for Momento Mall - to say the least!

Although we stood in line for 2 1/2 hours to get into Momento Mall - it was a lot of fun! We met some great new Stampers and I got to participate in my first swaps!! Very cool! Momento Mall was pretty cool - I didn't do any major shopping, wanted to wait to see what the "Surprise" was going to be on Thursday, but didn't have much $$ to spend anyway. I wish I had taken pictures of stuff from Momento Mall and the Convention bag - I didn't think of it!

Following Momento Mall and bag pick up, we headed back to the hotel to participate in the Late Night Stampers Shoe Box Swap - this was so cool and I was so excited to participate! We got to make 24 cards and received 24 cards already made! Lots of Great Swaps.

Following this swap, I ran to the convention center to participate in the Single Layer Swap from SCS. It was a good swap. I went back to the hotel and had dinner and prepared for opening session the next day!

DAY 3: YAY - opening session!! It was so awesome - again, I am a terrible picture taker - I get so involved in the moment that I forget to take pictures! During general session we learned about My Digital Studio and we were so excited to learn that we could earn it for FREE by recruiting 1 person each - a very easy challenge - I am sure we will get it! We also got to see a great demo regarding the Build A Bear and we were so excited to find that the surprise in Momento Mall was our very own Stampin' Up Build A Bear!! It was so funny - Loree made a beeline for MM after the session and we were one of the first ones in!!

After we purchased our bears, we headed to lunch and I was so excited to get to meet Shelli - I was so excited to meet her - the tears started to flow - I'm such a total post-menopausal cryer - lol - darn hormones:

She is just the nicest person I have met. I had her autograph my convention bag and my catalog.

When she talks with you, she doesn't rush you along, she focuses on the conversation you are having with her. I was very impressed by this and made me feel so good about my decision to be part of the SU Family!

After talking with Shelli we then went over to the area where we could make our own little die-cut Build A Bear and put DSP clothes on them like little paper dolls - again - I'm terrible at taking pictures, so forgot to take pictures of the finished bears - geesh.

That evening, I got to participate in a get together with upline and meet more stampers!! It was a lot of fun! We did some swapping, shared bags of candy, and shared lots of ideas!

DAY 4: General Session, Make & Takes, and other Classes

I was just as excited today as I was yesterday! I could not wait to do our Make & Takes! It is such a rush to get through the make and takes in a certain period of time - so I ended up finishing them in my room later that night!

I got to spend some time in the sample boards - I took sooooo many pictures, it would be hard to post them all - so I chose 2 to share at this time which really caught my eye:
And of course I had to take my picture with the over-sized catalog!!!

On Friday night, a bunch of us got together for a fantastic dinner at Buco di Beppa - it was soooo good and I made some fabulous new friends! I can't wait to see them again at next convention!

I am going to stop here for now - I will post more pictures of samples and other fun stuff in the next day or so!! I love sharing!

Day 2 and 3

Well - I had hoped to be blogging more - but was unable to blog from my Blackberry like I planned yesterday and today - don't know what's going on - darn technology. I couldn't even Tweet yesterday - geesh!

Anyway - CONVENTION IS FABULOUS!! I am so excited and so inspired!

Yesterday we saw the My Digital Studio - this is really exciting! It's an awesome digital scrapbooking program with lots of exciting pluses to it! What is totally exciting is they are GIVING all convention goers a FREE copy if we meet certain goals! Love SU!!

We saw the Build A Bear line yesterday - is this line adoreable or what? It makes me want it even more! We even got to cut out a bear or two and put clothes on them - kinda like paper dolls! What was even more cool was we were able to purchase a SU Build A Bear with a SU apron on and with Stampin Up embroidered on a paw - with a Special stamp - Life without stamps is UnBearable! Love it! I will add pictures after I get home - knew I should have brought the laptop.

I got to do some great make and takes yesterday - it was a fun stampin day! again, I will share pictures once I get home!

Have I mentioned I am having so much fun!

THEN - I got to meet Shelli yesterday! I was so excited - she is so real, down to earth, and doesn't just take a picture and push you away - she actually talks to you, converses with you - I really admire that in her. I got her to sign my convention bag and took a couple pictures - very inspiring!

Last night I went to see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir! I have listened to them since I was a little girl and it was amazing to see/hear them in person!

Today so far is awesome. Shelli shared some really, really cool projects that I cannot wait to get home and make and share! Then the VP of Design and Marketing shared some really cool projects as well!

I was just stopping in the hotel lobby to quickly use the computer so i can update on convention! I have a few classes yet to do this afternoon!!

Day 1 - Salt Lake City!

YAY! I'm here in SLC for Stamping!Up convention! Arrived yesterday afternoon. The scenery here is absolutely stunning - the mountains are magnificent! Already groups getting together and stamping! I am up bright and early - not used to the time change! Checkin starts @ 9 and then its off to Moment Mall for some cool SU stuff, then a couple of fun swaps and stampin to do!

I'm so excited that I'm here! I will blog more later and figure out how to add pictures since I'm updating from my Blackberry!

Getting Excited about SU Convention!

I am so looking forward to heading to Salt Lake City in a few weeks for the Stampin' Up! convention!! Imagine - 5 days of stampin and scrappin with thousands of other stampers and scrappers!! WOOHOOO!!!

One of the fun things to do at convention is to SWAP! You make a bunch of cards the same and then SWAP them and you come home with all different cards/ideas!! I signed up for a couple fo these SWAPS and I just finished making my first SWAP! It is a SINGLE LAYER CARD swap - meaning there are no layers to this card and only 1 embellishment.

Here is what I came up with! I'm pretty pleased - and it was so simple!! Anyone can do it!

This was made with:
Cardstock: The new In Color - Dusty Durango
Ink: Versamark and Rich Razzleberry
Stamp set: new Hostess Set - Kind & Caring Thoughts
Accessories: Crushed Curry Polka Dot grossgrain ribbon
Tools: Large Oval punch, Corner rounder punch.

And here's the bunch of them for the Swap - I had to make 11 of them for the swap! It was an easy card, so it was fun and quick!

The new catalog is availabe on July 1st! It will be available on line and I will have a small supply of them in a couple weeks. More Sneak Peaks!! New In Colors!!

I was so excited when the UPS man came last Thursday!! He brought my sneak peak items!! WOOHOO!! Who would have thought one could get so excited over pretty colored paper and ribbon!!

I finally had a chance to sit down and stamp a little and wanted to share a card I created using the Manhattan Flower die for the Big Shot. I'm very happy that everything used on this card will be available in the New Catalog, which will be available on July 1st!

Just wanted to let you all know I am still here! I have been so crazy busy - which is good - but haven't had as much time as I'd like to stamp! But I am happy to say after this week I will have stamping time again!

I actually did a couple things over the weekend and I will post them here tomorrow after I take some pictures! Plus - I still need to do my tutorial on my pocket card holder I made below!

I am excited, though - I'M GOING TO STAMPIN' UP! CONVENTION in August! I cannot wait!

A Project for School Fundraiser

First of all - sorry for the lack of posting. I started a new job and had to be out of town for a few days and then the chaos of a new job kept me from even stamping! Developing a normal pattern now - so the stamping is back on!!

I was asked if I wanted to donate a basket of Stampin' Up products for my friend's daughter's school Bingo Fundraiser - of course I couldn't say no - she was twisting my arm real hard - ouch - hahaha!

I didn't just want to put product in, but wanted to put something created in as well and wanted a 3-D item to put cards in. After browsing through all the great galleries at Splitcoast Stampers, I found this great idea and was directed to Elissa's blog: http://elissacreates.blogspot.com/ . What a cool idea!

Here is what I came up with - a Double-Sided Card Pouch!

ACCESSORIES: So Saffron Ribbon, So Saffron Brads, 5-Petal Punch, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch.

It is so fun to have a reason to make something and search for an idea and then sit down and create!! I love Stamping!!

GRAND OPENING!! WELCOME!

I am so excited! As you can see I have a fabulous new blog thanks to Heather and Michelle (see below for contact info)! Be sure to take a little time and check out all the new buttons and links and everything else!!

I have officially opened the doors of my Stampin' Up Business!! I am now starting to do at-home workshops and will be having 2 classes in my home each month - be sure to check the calendar and sign up - it's a lot of fun to get together and stamp!

We will be starting it all with an Open House on Thursday, April 23rd - 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This will be a great time to check out what is new with Stampin' Up! You'll also have the chance to make a card or two, enjoy some refreshments and a chance to win a door prize! Don't miss it - bring a friend!!

Well, with the Easter Weekend upon us, I want to share a card my daughter, Heather, made to send to friends and family for Easter! She got the idea from a swap I participated in and she had so much fun making it herself:

This was definitely a fun card! Supplies used include Whisper White and Pretty in Pink Cardstock (other cardstock will be added), and this cute little chick was made with the Big Shot Top Note die, Large Oval punch, Scallop Circle Punch, and the 5-petal punch for the feet! Some Spring Inspiration!

Spring is here! I love the weather getting warmer, we even went to the beach this past weekend and went in the water - already! woohoo!! I love it!

Before I forget - I wanted to let everyone know that in a few weeks I will be switching my blog and it will be so much better than this one!! As soon as it is finished, I will let everyone know! There may be a few surprises once I switch, so keep checking back!

So when I think of Spring, I think of soft colors - especially pink - and, of course, Easter!! I participate in a monthy card swap and this is the card I came up with:

I call it - Chicks in All Directions!

All supplies are SU!! I used the the stamp set: A Good Egg, which is available in the Spring/Summer 2009 catalog. The background cardstock, Barely Banana, was run through my new Toy - the Big Shot - which gave it a texture of Large Polka Dots! I LOVE my Big Shot! The Happy Easter oval is created using the Large Oval and the Scallop Oval punches.The ribbon is the Certainly Celery ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration Ribbon Bundle - I got it FREE and you can too - just by placing a $50 order - you get to choose an item FREE from the Sale-A-Bration catalog!! let me know if you need info - visit my SU business website for more info!

This next card was created for a new Mom!! I was blog hopping the other evening and saw this technique with the ribbons and loved it, so had to give it a try, and what a perfect card for it than a Baby Congrats card!!

All supplies, again, are SU!! The Duck stamp is from Wagon Full, which is upcoming in the SU Occasions Mini Catalog! It is available now, though, through a special Easter preorder!

It's been a while

Sorry so long since my last post. Had a loss in the family and frustration with work - just lost some inspiration!! But, Thank God, it's back!! I hate periods of loss of inspiration!

I am so happy with the new Catalog and the current Sale-A-Bration promotion! The last couple days I have really had a chance to just create, so I wanted to share a few cards I did - my inspiration/creativity juices are flowing!!

This first card was inspired from a card I saw on Splitcoast Stamper and I had to use the inspiration! I just got my Big Shot last week and this card used the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die and the Sweet Stems Embosslit die!! I am absolutely LOVING my Big Shot and will post more about it soon!

This next card was inspired by Stampin' Up's current Sale-A-Bration promotion. In case you do not know what that is, Sale-A-Bration (SAB) is a promotion that offers you a chance to get free stamp sets when you place an order, hold your own workshop, and great added benefits if you decide to become a Stampin' Up Demo yourself and enjoy the great rewards!! When you place an order of $50, you receive a stamp set from our SAB brochure (you actually receive a stamp set for every $50 you spend - so if you spend $100, you get to pick 2 free stamp sets!!!). If you'd like more information, let me know.

So, this card was made using the Polka Dot Punches stamp set, which I then punched out with the 5-petal punch, the Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper (which you can also get free during SAB!), So Saffron ribbon (which you can also get free during SAB! woohoo), and a stamp set from the Spring/Summer 2009 catalog - Three Little Words!

This next card - well, I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this stamp set - Cheep Talk! It is in the Spring/Summer 2009 catalog and I couldn't wait to get it and put it to use!! This card was inspired by a technique I found on Splitcoast Stampers called the Spring Card - it is called that because it is flat in the envelope, but when you take it out, it "springs" open!!

Some great things coming with Stampin' Up - including a Sneak Peak of the Occasions Mini Catalog with some cute Spring/Easter stamp sets which you can order early - I will add these to my blog in the next day or two.

Be on the lookout for a couple classes coming up - including Spring Fling, where we will be making some great Spring/Easter projects!!

Stampin a Little Love!

Nothing like a little pressure to bring on a little INKsipiration! I am signed up for a monthly swap on the Yahoo Group SUStars - well, needless to say - I completely forgot and it is due tomorrow - so off to the stampin table I go - I had ideas swirling around in my head all day while I worked, so I could not wait to have a little stampin time!

I knew I wanted to use red and pink (of course) and I wanted to use the new technique we learnd in the SU Stampin Success magazine - the Accordian Flower. This is what I came up with!! Not too fancy, but just right!

The card itself was made with For a Friend stamp set, Real Red cardstock, Pink Pirouette cardstock, Bella Rosa DSP, Pink Pirouette striped grosgrain ribbon, Pretty in Pink grosgrain and Whisper White grosgrain, and Old Olive grosgrain (for the flower stems), as well as Dazzlin Diamonds glitter (on the Lo and e) and Crystal Effects on the heart! The accordian flower was made using Whisper White cardstock, which I brushed the edges with Real Red ink and Pink Pirouette ink. The only thing NOT SU is the rhinestone brad in the center of the flower!

This was a fun card to make. If my camera battery was not pretty much dead, I would have done a little tutorial on the accordian flower - maybe this weekend - keep an eye out! We'll definitely be doing it in a class soon!

So, after a stressful day, there's nothing like a couple hours surrounded by paper, adhesive, glitter and ribbon - with stampin music provided by Kenny Chesney!!! ahhhh - so sweet!

Inspired to Create and Share!

I am so excited to share with you all the great opportunity I had this past weekend!! I got to attend my first Stampin' Up event - the SU Regional in Orlando - this past weekend with my friend/fellow SU demonstrator, Denise!

I don't think I even anticipated how much inspiration and ideas I would get in just one day! We learned lots of new techniques, got tons of great ideas and inspiration - I'll share a couple with you here, but when you schedule your own workshop, I'll share even more!!

The best way to describe this card is a paper quilt! I'm a quilter and I just fell in love with this card which was done by one of our speakers - Jaron.

This is a fun card - it's a ladder card and there are so many ways to do it for every occasion! I absolutely love it and will definitely be doing a class for this card in the very near future!

One of the best products SU has added to the line is the Big Shot!!! It is a must have tool and one that will be in my tool box very soon!! I finally got to use the BS at Regionals and it is an amazing tool! It die cuts and embosses and just makes your projects really stand out! It even cuts tin (they even made Christmas ornaments from Coca Cola cans using the BS) and magnets, as well as multiple layers of cardstock! Be sure to check the link to the right for more info!

Can you imagine stamping with 900+ fellow stampers? Sharing ideas, stories, successes! It was absolutely great!

Here are the projects we got to work on at Regionals! I will be bringing these to my workshops as well as sharing the techniques I learned!

And the person behind it all - Shelli!! She is the creator/co-owner of Stampin' Up! I was very impressed with her - she talked to us like she was just a fellow stamper, there to share ideas and have fun creating! I am very glad to be part of Stampin' Up!! If you have ever wanted to have ideas and inspiration at your fingertips - I'd love to have you on my team - whether you come on board as a hobby or want to earn extra $$ - either way, it's a great opportunity!

I will be posting more a little later - so many exciting things happening - the new catalog will be available on January 19th and it is even BETTER than the last one! Lots of new stamps, papers, ribbons, embellishments - AND MORE BIG SHOT DIES!!! So - stay tuned!

New Year - Get Ready to Stamp!

I have been nonexistent lately - I know. Life took over, I was laid off - AGAIN - and became so overwhelmed trying to find a job - then came Thanksgiving and Christmas - except for some Christmas cards, I have done NOTHING!

A Great Shelli Video!

Well - this has not been a very productive week. On Monday I received a call that I was "cut" from my job - they hired Senior Management, paying them lots of $$, and cut support staff. Needless to say, I am not a happy camper. So, since then, I have been job hunting and trying to figure what I should be doing with my life. 25 years in the Medical Transcription industry - I think I've had enough. But, I'm not going to let it get me down - I have prayed on it and I KNOW God must definitely have a plan - 2 lay offs in 5 months - You think He is trying to tell me something? Now to open my eyes and my heart so I can see the path!

Instructions
Napkin ring
Make card stock note using Top Note Bigz die. Adhere Designer Series paper on card stock, stamp (on New Year's napkin ring), fold, and smooth folds using bone folder. Stamp label image, punch out and/or cut, and adhere to napkin ring. Punch out slots and tie together with ribbon (Note: New Year's napkin ring is tied together with Silver elastic cord). Accent as shown.

Name plate
Make card stock note using Top Note Bigz die; stamp (on New Year's name plate), fold in half, and smooth fold with bone folder. Adhere Designer Series paper on card stock (Note: layer paper on Old Olive card stock first for Christmas name plate). Accent as shown.

Favor
Make favor box using Pillow Box die, and fill with treats. Create belly band out of Designer Series paper (Note: layer paper for New Year's favor), and adhere to favor. Stamp label image, and punch out. Adhere label and accent as shown.

Confetti
Make several large and small scallop circles out of Designer Series paper. Stamp and cut out/punch smaller images (acorns for Thanksgiving, trees for Christmas, and snowflakes for New Year's) as shown. Glue glitter on snowflakes.

Finally had some Stampin Time!

Finally had some time to do a little stampin today!! I just can't get enough of the Bella Rosa DSP and the new In Colors! I tried a new technique - check out the sparklies on the stamped flower - I used Versamark and Iridescent Ice embossing powder to give it some sparkle!

I liked it so much I made a second card:

Heather stopped over today and she was inspired earlier today to make a Halloween card - this is just too darn cute!

Even got to spend a little time at Justin & Krista's place and see Little Bailey! She's 1 week old now - my how time flies! lol Isn't she just too precious?!!

Calm Settles In!

Wow - it's been so crazy! Have not even had time to stamp at all - however, I did get to make a card for our new little Grandbaby!! This card was not stamped - I had a little fun with my Cricket, some glitter, and flowers - the cardstock is SU! Pink Pirouette and the ribbon is Pink Pirouette Striped Grossgrain! I think it turned out pretty!

So, now that everything I have been working the last couple months are finally in place - i.e. Heather and Alan here and of course, Little Bailey has arrived - now I can get into a Stampin Routine!! I'll be workin on a few things this week and next weekend Heather and I are going to make some Halloween cards. I have been making some sketches for ideas for Christmas cards and I can't wait to order some Holiday Stamps and get started!

She's Here!

Today is a Blessed Day! Little Bailey Sterling Letner made her entrance into this world at 2:03 p.m., weighing 7 lb 12 oz, 20.3 inches long, lots of reddish golden brown hair and blue eyes - she looks so much like her Daddy!

My First Bella Card!

I LOVE Stampin' Up and rarely use other stamp company stamps, but I have to admit, I LOVE Bella Stamps images! I only have 1 Bella Stamp - which I used for the Baby Shower invites - but I recently participated in an Uncolored Bella Image Swap on Splitcoast Stampers. I got so many awesome images and I chose to do this one first! I just love it and I wanted to share!

It was a fun image to color - I love coloring with Aqua Pencils - I use both Stampin' Up Aqua pencils with the Blender Pens or the Aqua Painter, and I also have Prisma Watercolor pencils. I just love to color - I think I never got over it from childhood!

This card was made for my lovely daughter-in-law - who is so ready to be done being pregnant! In fact - she will deliver our Little Darlin on the 14th!! I thought she needed a smile sent!

I will have several other projects this week to share - so stay tuned!

Another Stamper/Scrapper Joining Us Soon!

I'M SO EXCITED!! Can you tell? Our daughter, Heather, and her husband, Alan, are at this very moment en route from PA to make their new home in North Port!! This has been a long time coming and I actually didn't think it would ever happen! Now we have both our kids near us - We feel sooo, soooo Blessed!

What's even better - we have another stamper/scrapper joining us - Heather is a stamper and scrapper - just a crafty gal all around! The picture below is Heather and I at a Scrapbooking Class on our cruise in May! - yes, we even scrapbooked on the cruise!! What fun!!

I can't wait to get everyone together to Welcome Heather to our Stampin/Scrappin Group! We're gonna have a blast!!

Love Crazy for Cupcakes!

About a week ago Marcia and I got together for a little Stamping Funn! We decided to try a new card and we chose the Gatefold Card!

This card was made with Georgia Peach Designer Series paper, Pink Pirouette CS, using the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set and the Square Scallop punch!

When you open up the card I popped up the little Square Scallop punch and the balloon with Stampin Dimensionals - something I cannot be without!

I have a full day of stampin/scrappin planned tomorrow - I will share my creations hopefully tomorrow night!

I'm so excited - Karen passed on to me an opportunity for a Holiday Extravaganza at Addison's Florist here in Venice on December 4th! I'll be making Holiday Cards and Gift tags and also offering a Make and Take card for visitors to make! It's going to be a lot of fun! I will post the flyer as soon as I receive it! Thanks Karen!

BABY UPDATE!! Krista is 37 weeks today!! She has been having contractions for a couple weeks and her doctor told her this past Thursday that she is finally starting to dilate! However, he has decided to definitely take the baby via C-section and scheduled her for October 14th - that is, unless, our little PeaPod decides to come sooner! OH THE ANTICIPATION!!! All in all, she is doing very well and she is very, very ready to deliver! I will keep you all posted - it's an exciting time!

Talk about exciting times - I will have one more stampin/scrappin person grace our classes/workshops in a couple weeks! Our daughter, Heather and her husband Alan, and their 2 Bassett Hounds - Toby and Zoe - are moving here to Florida from PA!!! They should arrive next Sunday to their new house in North Port! Oh what stampin/scrappin fun we will have!!

Lots of excitement - I'll keep you posted!

A Funn Open House!

What a funn Open House we had on 9/7!! I just love getting together with other stampers and just stamp the afternoon away!! I got to share the exciting things going on with SU and then we got down to the nitty gritty of STAMPING!!

This is one of the cards we made. I just LOVE the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp! Supplies used here were the Pink Pirouette CS for the card, Bella Rosa DSP and Riding Hood Red for the face, Kiwi Kiss CS for the matting on the stamped cupcake stand which was stamped on Whisper White CS, and the Pink Pirouette grossgrain striped ribbon. We used the water color technique using the In Color stamp pads. And to highlight, the cupcakes, we used Gel Roll pens, although not SU, I use them on just about everything!

Card #2 we used the Say It With Scallops set, which is the Ronald McDonald House charity stamp. I love anything scallop!

Again, this card used the Bella Rosa DSP. I love how the DSP coordinates front/back - the two sheets used here were from 1 sheet of DSP - love the red/pink with the brown!! The card was made with Riding Hood Red DSP. We punched extra scallops from Pink Pirouette CS and Close to Cocoa CS.

We also used the Scallop Edge punch on the edges of the DSP. Ribbon used was the Pink Pirouette striped grossgrain and Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, and Pretty in Pink 1/4 inch grossgrain ribbon!

Our third project was a Jumbo Paperclip book mark! We used the Scallop Circle Punch (punched out 2 colors for the front and back) and the Scallop Square Punch, which everyone chose a design to stamp, and then layered onto the circle scallops and sandwiched the jumbo paperclip between them using the large glue dots!

Angela was so creative - she stamped two little girl faces from the Level 2 Hostess Set and she colored them to look her her two little girls! Very creative, Angela!

I am looking forward to some Stamping Funn with a couple Stamp Camps, Hostess Club, and workshops in the future!! I feel so blessed to be able to get together with friends and enjoy the creativity and of course, the chitchat!

I am so excited to start sharing the new catalog with you all! There are so many awesome new stamp sets - including a Sock Monkey!!! Amazing Baby Picture!

Can you believe the wonders of technology? Krista had a 3-D Ultrasound this past Monday, I was thrilled to be with them - what an amazing view - check her out:

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS? Look at her little toes, her cute little nose and she definitely has her Daddy's lips! How peaceful she looks, how content, how beautiful. I can't explain the emotion - all I could think of is - so this is how my Mom felt when I was pregnant with my children!

Most of all - what a Blessing!! I cannot wait to see our Precious Little PeaPod!

Stationary Box - a FUNN Project!

I have been seeing these stationary boxes at SCS and could not wait to try one!! I absolutely love this project and plan on making some as prizes for the baby shower!! The credit for the inspiration and how to go to Jackie Topa, a great stamping inspiration!!

I thought I'd share a few pictures of the finished project:

This is the box closed. I used SU DSP flowers for you for the lid, Groovy Guava ribbon, used the round scallop punch with DSP, and Groovy Guava CS for the circle punch, and a silver brad.

Here is the box filled with matching cards and envelopes, little 3 x 3 cards, and tags. The little booklet you see could be used as an address book, there's a little pocket for stamps, and a pen!

Here, you can actually see the contents - the 3 cards, the 3 x 3 card tags, and the tags. All matching!

This was so much fun to do and I will be scheduling a workshop for this project in the near future. More information on when will be coming!! I was just so excited - I had to share!

Another Shower Project!

This shower is so handmade!! I am having so much fun with all the crafting I get to do now! I created the favors for my DIL's baby shower - her shower colors are Pink and Brown.

The box was made using one of my favorite tools - the Scor-Pal. I used a full 12 x 12 designer paper (used a paper from Creative Imaginations for these) cut in half - then scored at 2.5, 5, 7.5, and 10 inches, then flipped it around and scored the down the length at 2.5 inches. I punched a hole using SU 1 3/4 inch circle punch, I put transperancy cut at 2" squares and adhered them over the punched out circle. I then folded the box and used Sticky Tape to assure a good strong hold. I punched holes in the top to bring the ribbon through and then filled the boxes with Hershey kisses - I used Pink "It's A Girl" kisses and the regular Silver kisses. I then pulled the ribbon through the holes and tied a bow - that easy!!!

I am loving preparing for this shower!!! I can't wait for the next one!

So Behind - But I'm Back!

Geez - the month just swept by. Things have been very crazy - I had been looking for a job and it was really starting to get to me - I finally found a job (Praises to God!!) and this is my third week now. I feel back to normal.

Been keeping busy making invitations for Krista's baby shower - our little Pink PeaPod!!!

This is the invitation!! It is a pocket card - the invite actually sits inside the pocket, with the registry card dangling!!

I'm pretty proud of it myself!! The stamps weren't SU - but the paper and coloring media (markers and aqua pencils) were!

Now to make the favors, the scrapbook, and the diaper cake! I'm going to be busy!

Just had to share! I'll be back later to update on all the exciting Stampin' Up news!! So much to share!!

Cruise Scrappin Has Begun!!

We were so blessed to be able to go on another cruise as a family - my husband, David, and I, our daughter, Heather, and her husband, Alan, and our son, Justin, and his wife, Krista!!! We traveled on the Carnival Victory from Miami to Cozumel to Grand Cayman and then to Jamaica-mon!! We had an absolute BLAST! While on the cruise, Heather and I even took a scrapbooking class, where we were able to purchase Carnival Cruise scrapbooking paper, stickers and a beautiful album - we even completed 2 pages! (There's a picture of us scrappin on the cruise below in a previous post!)

So, now the task was to finish it! I FINALLY sat down today and planned the title page. My scrapbook from last year started with the first picture we all took before getting on the ship, so I felt it appropriate to start this year's book with the same!

I am a colorful scrapper, as you can tell! The lettering and the waves were made using my Cricut - but don'tcha just love the glitter on the waves? I LOVE the Stampin' Up Cosmo Glitter - I used the Light Blue on the waves. I am thrilled with the final product:

I used the Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive, which is available in the SU catalog, for the first time and I have found a new favorite adhesive!! It sticks very well and very controllable - looks like I'll have to stock up!!

So, now I have the scrappin inspiration juices flowin - I think I hear my table calling me...I have already started planning the next pages. I love the paper we got from Carnival - it is so pretty and can't wait to relive the cruise as I create the memory! I can't wait to share with you, my Stampin/Scrappin friends my Cruise scrapbook!!

A Little INKspiration!!

With my current unemployed status, I found myself getting a little down - then I had an A-HA moment - I just needed a little INKspiration!! And after an INKspiring day, I find that is all I needed!! I had all my "stuff" on the dining room table (brought down from my office/craft room on the 2nd floor) and finally sat down today and just STAMPED!! I even have started FINALLY on my Cruise Scrapbook - WOOHOO!!

I actually created this the other day (Saturday) when Denise stopped over to do a little stampin and we just had to play with the Fresh Cuts stamps and notes! I TOTALLY LOVE this set and the die-cut notes - I am so hoping Stampin' Up has more sets (die cut notes) like this! This card was made with Groovy Guava background with the Fresh Cuts stamped in the Bayou Blue, with Groovy Guava ribbon. I also clipped the corners with the Ticket corner punch and also stamped the envelope!

I actually thought of this card last night while I was lying awake in bed - don't you hate when that happens? I wanted to just jump out of bed and make it - instead I stayed in bed and HOPED I would remember it in the morning - and I did - My post-menopausal memory isn't as bad as I thought - hahaha!

This is also using the Fresh Cuts stamp set using Purely Pomegranate and Groovy Guava cardstock and the image stamped with Purely Pomegranate on the glossy cardstock. I used the Ticket corner punch on the Groovy Guava layer and Groovy Guava Ribbon. Can you tell I love this set?!!!!

I was on a roll with the Purely Pomegranate and just had to create one more. I used the Hostess set Time Well spent - stamped on glossy cardstock and then colored using my blender pens and stamp pad ink - first time I did that and I love it! I also distressed the edges using the edge of my scissors (not sure how well you can tell).

I did a few other cards, but these were my favorites and just had to share!

I was so excited to also start on my cruise scrapbook - I have it sitting on the table about ready to adhere everything in place!! Once I get going I will rock and roll with it and share pictures!!

I am so glad I have stamping to turn to - all it took was this little bit of INKspiration to bring me out of the duldrums!!

An OK card and some PINK news!!

What an exciting day!!! My son and daughter-in-law were going this morning to have an ultrasound to check on the baby and hoping to find out if it is a Pink PeaPod or a Blue PeaPod - how exciting it was to find out we are having a Little Pink Bundle of Joy!!!!

Of course, it really didn't matter - Boy or Girl - but gosh darn it, it's so much fun to plan Pink!! This little Pink PeaPod is such a gift from God and will be so loved!! Now the fun begins - time to plan the shower!!

Yesterday I figured I would take some time and try to be creative - the creative juices just were not flowing, but I did crank out a card and I thought I'd share it - not the best, but it's OK!

The picture does it no justice, the color just didn't photograph well for some reason. I used Purely Pomegranate and Groovy Guava, paper piercing the inside Groovy Guava. Stamp used was Stampin' Up, of course, Garden Whimsy set. I used the SU scallop punch and circle punch. The ribbon is Groovy Guava and I used one of my favorite things to do - tearing!! I love the distressed look of tearing and having another color behind it!! Like I said, the card is ok! I have a couple ideas in mind, so hopefully the creative juices will flow tomorrow!

An Awesome Scrapbook page by my Darling Daughter!

My daughter sent me this scrapbook page she created today! We went on a cruise - wow, it's almost been a month - and while on the cruise her and I actually did scrapbooking 3 days - during at-sea days - Carnival had a scrapbooking class - WOOHOO!! We loved it! We each completed 2 pages there and had been talking about a "tiki hut" page from our trip to Paradise Beach, Cozumel and/or Mohogany Beach, Jamaica! So she sent me this picture this evening via her phone camera:

We talked about doing the tiki hut with brown paper bags and distressing the edges - don't you just love how she cut out the parrots?!!!! I JUST LOVE IT!!

The background paper was actually paper we purchased from Carnival - they had some great scrapbooking kits with great paper, embellishments - even Carnival stickers and stuff!

Heather lives in PA, but we share pictures all the time via our cell phones so we can instantly show each other what we are doing!

She is very, very crafty!! She gets it from her Momma!! hehe!! and her Grandma Karen!

Here is a picture of Heather and I Scrapbooking on our Carnival Cruise!!! It was a great break on the cruise for her and I to spend time together!

She has inspired me! I'll be working on mine tomorrow! Figured I'd better make good use of this time off until I go back to work!!

My First Tutorial - Erased Chalk Technique

Woohoo!! I'm so excited to do my first tutorial!! I absolutely love this simple technique and just had to share it with my Stampin Funn Friends!!!

This technique is using the Stampin' Up pastels (chalks) for the background with lines erased through the chalk! The colors are so pretty and subtle and I just love it! I was inspired by another blogger - it is driving me crazy whose blog gave me the idea - as soon as I find it, I will give her credit here for the inspiration!

So get your supplies together and get ready to try it! Remember, this is the first time I am doing this, so if something isn't clear, let me know!!

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock:
Whisper white cut 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 (scored in the center to fold)
Purple cut 5 1/4 x 4 (for layered background)
Whisper white cut 3 3/4 x 5 (for card front)

Stamp Sets: Doodle This and Stem Sayings
Ink: Black Stazon
Stampin' Up Pastels
Cotton balls (to apply the chalk)
Ticket corner punch
Crop-A-Dile or other hole puncher
Adhesive (I use Stampin' Up's tape runner)
Silver brad (for center of flower)

First, using your StazOn ink, stamp the doodle flower from the Doodle This set randomly on the white 3 3/4 x 5 cardstock.

I recommend stamping a few off the edges of the cardstock, makes it look more random!

Next - using a cotton ball, rub the cotton ball on the chalk color you want to use and then rub the color on your stamped card background:

You can add more color per your preference. Do a section in one color (I used pink) and then a section in another color (I used yellow). You can use as many colors as you want!

Your background should like like this:

Now the fun part - time to erase some of the chalk - you can use either the eraser that comes with the Stampin' Up pastels or use a pencil eraser - you want a slim line. You will need a ruler to draw these lines - you can erase the lines any way you want - you can even criss-cross them if you want - whatever you feel looks good!

Next - I used the Stem Sayins and stamped above the erased lines - be sure not to stamp directly on the erased lines:

Next, we are going to make the flowers for on top. You will need to stamp 2 of the big flowers from the Doodle This set using the black StazOn. Once they are stamped, you will use the little applicators that come with the Stampin' Up pastels to apply color to the flowers. I used the Stampin' Up blender pens to apply the chalk to the thin edges of the flowers. For an extra added touch, I use sparlely GelRoll pens to highlight the dots in the flowers and add a little bling!Once they are colored, cut them out.

Now it's time to put it all together. Using your Ticket corner punch, punch all 4 corners of the Purple cardstock and your chalked background. Take a piece of ribbon (I used Stampin' Up's white grosgrain ribbon) and cut it a little bit bigger than the width of the chalked background and add a knot/bow, tucking the ends to the back with your adhesive tape. Next, using your adhesive, layer the chalked background on top of the Purple cardstock.

Now we can assemble the flower - using a Crop-A-Dile or a hole punch, punch a hole in the center of each flower. Insert the brad in the first flower, and then add the second. Locate where you want it on the card and punch a hole and insert the brad/flower combination:

Next, you will put your adhesive on the back of the purple background and adhere it to your card - being sure to center your card front. You can then arrange your flower how you want - I even lifted mine up just a bit to give it a 3-D look!

YOU DID IT!!! You finished your card and I'll bet it is BEAUTIFUL!!

A StampingFunn Day!!

Finally, a day with nothing to do but STAMP!! I received a few goodies today, including the Pick A Petal set and the Stem Sayings set, so I had to play!! Here are a few cards I created:

This card was created with Pick A Petal and Stem sayings - the background was colored in chalk with a technique I am going to outline above.

This is another card made with Pick A Petal and Stem sayings - the Petals in the background say Smile! I just got the Ticket Corner Punch and just love the finish it gives cards!!

I had so much fun stamping this afternoon that I decided to create my very first Tutorial!!!! I am going to do a whole new post for it for this card:

This was all done with chalk and so easy and fun to do. Here's another one I made also with this chalk technique:

Paper Bag Class Update

Fresh Cut Notes!

Stampin'Up has a Great new promotion coming out in June as a little sneak preview of the new Fall/Winter catalog which will be out in August - the Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set and Fresh Cut laser-cut cards. These are just the cutest thing - so many creative possibilities. I am awaiting my set and will make a few of the cards and post on my blog immediately!!

I thought it would be fun to have a workshop with this set and share a few ideas for using them! The workshop will be on Sunday, June 22nd from 2-4. The cost will be $30 per person and will include the Fresh Cut stamp set and Fresh cut notes. You will have until June 8th to sign up - payment can be either cash or credit/debit card! Stamp Clubs!!

I am so excited to start introducing my Stamp Clubs! At this time, I have 2 clubs slated to start up in June:
StampingFunn Hostess Club: This club will meet the last Thursday of each month. We will get together to learn a new stampin/paper crafting technique and create a couple projects using that technique. There is no cost for the club except for a minimum $25 order each month. Membership is limited to 6. Each month one member will be the Hostess and will receive all Hostess Benefits from that month!!! Marker Club: I have had several of my stampin friends express interest in a Marker Club. This is a great way to get the entire Stampin'Up marker collection a little at a time. The club is limited to 4 member and at the end of 4 months each member will have the complete list. If you are interested, let me know. Once I fill up one club, I will open up another one!

This is just the beginning! I have a couple great classes in the works for June! Keep checking back!

I am so excited to finally get my StampinFunn Blog up!! I want to be able to share lots of StampingFunn ideas to all my Stampin Friends!!
